Buying Guide
The thing worth being clear about first: this is a cover, not a box of tissues.
Your cardboard box slides inside it, and the tissues come up through the opening in the top the way they always did.
Why anyone buys one
Tissue boxes are designed to sell tissues from a supermarket shelf. They are not designed to sit in a room.
In a bathroom or a living room the branded cardboard is usually the least considered object in sight, and a bamboo cover turns it into something that belongs with the rest of the fittings.
That is the whole product. It is a small thing that works.
Why bamboo
The same reason it turns up in bath mats and bathroom shelving. It is a fast growing grass, it takes a finish well, and it copes with a humid room better than most untreated woods.
What it will not survive
Standing water.
Bamboo handles humidity, which is not the same thing as handling a puddle. The places that cause trouble are a wet worktop, the rim of a bath, and a windowsill that runs with condensation in the morning.
Wipe it with a barely damp cloth, dry it straight away, and it will last for years.
The size question
We cannot tell you what size box it takes, because the supplier does not publish dimensions.
That matters more than it sounds. Tissue boxes vary a good deal, particularly between the cube format and the flatter rectangular one, and a cover that fits one may not fit the other.
If your box is unusual, or if you are buying this to pair with a particular brand of tissues, send us a message before you order and we will get the measurements from the supplier. That is a better outcome than a return.
